Double-Wall Insulation guides
Double-wall insulation is the gap between two layers of stainless steel. On a TickTrend tumbler that gap is vacuum sealed. Heat moves more slowly across the gap, so hot coffee stays hotter and iced drinks stay colder than they would in a single-wall cup. It is not a freezer and it is not a thermos that never changes. Open the lid often, start with a lukewarm drink, or sit in a hot car, and the temperature will move faster.
The wall also makes the tumbler feel less hot or sweaty on the outside. Condensation is lower than on a plain glass or thin metal cup, which helps in a cup holder and in a bag. The lid and straw are still the leak points. Close the slider when you are not drinking. A magnetic straw cap is an extra cover for the straw hole, and it only helps if the product page says it fits that lid.
Wash both walls only on the surfaces you can reach. Do not try to open the vacuum gap. Warm water, mild soap, and a bottle brush for the straw are enough. Dry the lid so water does not sit in the seal. The tumbler is for drinks, not food or ice packs.
