Hot Drinks guides
Hot drinks need a cup that slows heat loss and a lid that does not dump coffee when it tips. TickTrend’s insulated tumbler uses a double stainless steel wall for the heat. Pour coffee in after the cup has been warmed with a splash of hot water if you want the first sips hotter. Leave a little space under the lid. An overfilled cup leaks from the seal even when the wall is excellent.
The lid is the safety piece. Close the drink opening before you walk or drive. A straw lid can be used for hot drinks only if you are comfortable with the temperature at the straw. Many people prefer a slide lid for coffee. The product page shows which lid style the tumbler includes. Do not buy a straw cap for a lid that has no straw hole.
Rinse coffee out the same day. Oils cling to plastic lids and steel walls. Warm water, mild soap, and a brush for the straw or spout are enough. Do not boil the lid. Let it dry open so the gasket does not stay wet. The tumbler is only for drinks.
