Tumbler Care guides
Tumbler care keeps the lid sealing and the straw from smelling. Every day you use it, empty the cup, pull the lid off, and rinse the steel. Wash the lid, straw, and any magnetic or silicone cap with warm water and mild soap. A straw needs a rinse through the center, not only a wipe of the outside. Sugar and coffee oil sit in that center channel.
Dry the parts before you put them away. Leave the lid unlocked or off the body so the gasket can air dry. A sealed wet lid grows a smell even when the steel looks clean. Do not use bleach, abrasive powder, or steel wool on a coated tumbler. Do not put the cup on a stove or in a fire. Do not drill or dent the steel. The vacuum between the walls fails if the wall is punctured.
Check the seal when you wash. If the gasket is cracked or the straw no longer sits tight, look for a listed replacement instead of forcing the old part. A magnetic cap that will not stay on is a fit or wear problem. Compare it with the product page before you buy another color of the wrong shape.
